After he proposed on May 27, 2022, the next day (May 28,2022), we went to visit our family. Surprised them and told them about our engagement. They were all really happy knowing that we’re already engaged and we showed them the video of how Kev proposed to me. We started drinking with my cousins and tita while waiting for dad. We were taking our turns in singing too. That day was full of positivity and happiness. We can feel that they’re all celebrating our engagement. When dad got home from work, we let him take a rest first then Kev and I went to his room to tell him the good news. Dad and him was chatting at first about random things, like asking Kev if he’s enjoying his vacation here in the Philippines. After few minutes of them chatting, dad asked us if what’s our plan after Kev’s vacation and that was the perfect timing for us to tell him the good news. We told him that we decided to bring our relationship to the next level and showed him the ring, told him that Kev proposed to me and I said yes.We then got dad’s approval about our engagement. Him and dad are very close with each other. Most of the time, it looks like he is my dad’s child and not me hahaha. Dad will always ask how he is and won’t even mind asking me how am I but I really am happy about it. I’m glad that my fiance and my family especially my dad are getting along really well.
